Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for authentic sourdough. As a small business in Bennett, Colorado, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence and your satisfaction.
What makes your sourdough unique and delicious?
Our sourdough is unique because we use a 100% natural, long-fermented starter that has been carefully cultivated for years. This traditional method, combined with high-quality, often locally sourced, organic flours and no artificial preservatives, creates a distinct flavor profile with a delightful chew and a perfectly crisp crust. Each loaf is hand-kneaded and baked in small batches to ensure exceptional quality and taste. We believe in the slow food movement, allowing natural fermentation to develop complex flavors and improve digestibility.
How do I order sourdough for the first time?
Ordering from Cluck and Crust is simple! First, browse our Sourdough menu to see our delicious selection. Select the loaves you'd like and add them to your cart. Proceed to checkout, where you'll enter your pickup details and complete your purchase. You'll receive a confirmation email with your order summary and further instructions. It's that easy to get our delicious bread from our online shop to your home!
What are your delivery and pickup options?
We offer both convenient local pickup for our customers in Bennett, Colorado, and surrounding areas. We are working on setting up delivery in the near future. You'll choose your preferred day/time at checkout, and all details will be confirmed in your order confirmation email. Please visit our Delivery & Pickup page for more specific information.
How should I store my sourdough?
To keep your sourdough fresh, store it at room temperature in a paper bag or a bread box. Avoid refrigerating it, as this can dry out the bread. For longer storage, you can slice the loaf and freeze it in an airtight bag; simply toast slices as needed for fresh taste.
Why is there no payment option?
We are working on developing different payment options. For now, we have convenient pay when you pick up. Upon receiving your order you will find a QR code on your packaging for our venmo. Just simply scan and pay.
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
While our sourdough is made with natural ingredients, some loaves may contain allergens such as wheat, nuts, or seeds. We recommend checking the ingredient list for each product on our Sourdough menu. If you have severe allergies, please contact us directly at info@cluck-and-crust.com before ordering, and we'll do our best to accommodate or provide information.
